Description
The Mille comes from a noble and ambitious idea, its deck is developed and entirely produced in Italy, meticulously handmade by our craftsmen. Birch wood makes it light, comfy and sinuous when straining. It is 32” ¼ ” long, 9 ½ ” wide with our classic concave to which we added a sharp edge to support the adherence of the shoe in overpress conditions. Its shape is extremely balanced on the kicks while its wing guarantees stability and support in the manoeuvers, providing an incredible sensation of lightness and agility on the back foot.
Compared to the deck dimensions its wheelbase is relatively long for our standards; this translates in a fast board, stable but radical at the same time, able to transform in a perfect wave machine.
It is a deck that we will appreciate in every condition from the Surfskate Cruising to Power Surfing, a perfect combo between stability, precision, lightness and speed: this is the Mille, a suitable board for everything, everyone and every level. Even more it will be prized by those who love the care for hand crafted materials because each of these handmade boards is rich of micro imperfections that make it unique.
The traditional griptape has been substituted with resin and middle size microspheres to guarantee transparency and a longer life.
What about the graphic? The Mille Lire was the Italian most versatile banknote and it is now laminated on a screenprinted light textile to exalt the its texture and use. It is an object for detail lovers, a homage to Marco Polo who has transformed his life on an infinite travel. If the Ride Mille is too beautiful to be used, hang it up on the wall as a painting of the past, to remember the splendor of our ancient culture.
